Elizabeth began painting children at play in 1975 and has completed many works on this theme. She is the mother of three daughters and so it was natural to watch them playing and turn these observations in to paintings.

She extended the series into paintings that depicted her own childhood while growing up in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The result has been a rich body of work that captures the essence and innocence of children.

The paintings draw the viewer in to a world of children and evoke memories and feelings that are sometimes hidden or suppressed but still present. This is a series full of smiles and good feelings. Truly they are paintings that nourish the soul

Most of the originals form this series are in the hand of collectors, however there are a limited edition prints, limited edition designer prints, and some Artist's Proof black and white lithographs available. A small selection of original works from this series is also being made available exclusively from Skylight Studios.
